The Alt Market
The Alt Market is a curated art market filled with peculiar and unconventional artisans. The Alt Market hosts four seasonal events in Salmon Arm, BC and will begin a limited pop-up series in 2026, including cities like Kelowna and Revelstoke, BC.
Mission:
To collaboratively build a community space where alternative artists feel empowered to come as they are and express themselves through alternative and unconventional artistic avenues, free of judgment.
The Alt Market stands with artists who feel marginalized by societal “norms” and works to highlight under represented artists while supporting our local community by means of spreading awareness, collaborations, cross-promotion and fundraising/donations.

Our intentional offerings are inspired by the wonders of the natural world, fascination with the esoteric and mystical, and strong connection to sacred geometry, spirituality and alternative healing. Handmade nature-inspired offerings include naturally-shed snakeskin jewelry, crochet clothing made of natural fibers, decorative lighter holders, organic astrology/earth element themed teas, herbal smoking blends, micro macrame stone jewelry, copper wrapped stone jewelry, art prints, holographic stickers, beeswax food wraps, mullein torches, recycled botanical paper, and more. Entelecha's logo incorporates a vesica piscis, the seed of life, lunar cycles and solar energy, evoking images of ancient wisdom, feminine power, and the interconnectedness of all beings. Our business name is derived from the word entelechy, which means ‘the full realization of potential;’ ‘the soul,’ or ‘the supposed vital principle that guides the development and functioning of an organism.’
